Project Background
After successful implementations of AAA system for fixed and mobile internet in Telekom Srbija, Logate got a recommendation to implement OpenProvider AAA for Mtel Austria. The requirement was to implement the AAA solution to support the new, fixed internet service of the provider. Through this project, OpenProvider AAA was for the first time implemented for a MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator).
The solution and the benefits
Through the project for Mtel Austria, Logate successfully implemented:
- OpenProvider for policing, assigning IPv4 and IPv6 addresses as dual stack solution and redirection to NOC portal for suspended or disabled subscribers.
- Customer Database (CDB) for all Mtel Austria subscribers which is integrated with CRM via REST and OpenProvider via LDAP protocol
The solution implementation allowed the customer to launch the new service – fixed internat, and perform authentication, authorization and accounting of the service seamlessly.
